I started this page to make a listing of all the Playboy Playmate Can Puzzles, meanwhile it has grown to an (almost) complete listing of all the Playboy Puzzles i have ever seen.
Most of the pictures are gathered from the internet.
The first picture is of the packaging of the puzzle, the second picture of the puzzle itself. When a picture of the puzzle itself is not available, a picture of the centerfold of the playboy issue is placed.

If there are Playboy Puzzles not listed, please send me a mail by using the “Contact” from with a clear picture of the packaging and a picture of the puzzle, so i can keep this listing complete. The puzzle will be placed within a day.

Quick Notes About the Playboy Can Puzzles (by Rich Gove):
· The 24 “smaller” can puzzles were issued in canisters (“cans”) measuring 5 ½” tall with a diameter of 4″. Originally each can had a plastic lid underneath which was a miniature “centerfold pic” (or puzzle guide) showing what the completed puzzle would look like. This pic was folded in thirds resembling what the centerfold would look like in the magazine.. A second unfolded photo was included inside the puzzle.
· The cans containing the first sixteen (16) puzzles were aluminum while the final eight (8) cans were medium weight cardboard (with thin metal tops and bottoms).
· A thin, colorful paper label wrapped each can. Each puzzle has a unique and distinctive color though some color lots displayed varying hues.
· The numbering of the puzzles can be a bit confusing. The “first printing” of the original four (4) puzzles each bore the number “1320”. These puzzles were complete at 324 pieces arranged in 12 columns of 27 rows each. These pieces proved too small and awkward, so the first four puzzles were re-printed and cut differently. These “second generation” puzzles were labeled “1320 AP 102” and numbered consecutively through “1320 AP 105”. Because of the new cutting dies, the number of pieces changed to 297 (11 columns by 27 rows each). The “AP”indicated AMERICAN PUBLISHING CORPORATION from Waltham, MA that produced each puzzle.
· Regardless of the configuration of the puzzles (324 pieces vs 297 pieces) the completed puzzle stayed consistent at 10 ¾” x 23 ¾”. Portraits of the four Playmates within this group can be seen on the label.
· The “aluminum” cans are skip numbered: 102-105, 107-110, 112-115, 117-120. The “cardboard” cans are numbered “APO 121 through APO 124” (showing portraits of the four Playmates on the label whose puzzles fell within that quartet. But the final four puzzles (APO 130 through 133) show only the portrait of the Playmate whose puzzle was within the can. There is much speculation that the “gap” of APO 125 to APO 129 could indicate either a “lost” or “unprinted” range of puzzles.
· The final puzzles were printed for a larger image. Though advertised as “500 Pieces” these puzzles actually had 510 pieces arranged in 15 columns by 34 rows each. The cans for these four puzzles measure 6 5/8″ tall with a diameter of 5 3/16″. Each can is aluminum. The labels are uniquely colored as orange, light blue, soft green and brown. These puzzles are numbered “AP 152 through AP 155”.
· Due to the random nature of the cutting process a missing piece from on specific puzzle may not have a corresponding piece from a different puzzle. This makes replacing “missing pieces” very difficult.
